Best 2000-01 Home Game: Cowboys beat the Sheep in front of Record Crowd

In front of the 15,456 crazy Cowboy fans, Wyoming beat CSU for the third straight time, beating the lambs 72-70 (69 for CSU if you watched the last shot of the game). This late afternoon game on a chilly day brought in the largest crowd ever in the AA, beating the previous record of 15,128 posted 6 years ago against BYU. The Cowboys never really blew CSU away during the game with their largest lead of 11, but they never let CSU get up by more than 4 points. The game was decided with about 25 seconds to go, but their were enough fouls to drag the game out long enough to here some loud boo's from the crowd. The Cowboys maintained their #1 spot in the Mountain West as they improved to 7-2 in conference play, 16-5 overall. Five Cowboys finished in double figures: Marcus Bailey led the team with 20 points. Also in double figures for the Cowboys were: Josh Davis (13), Uche Nsonwu-Amadi (12), Brett McFall (12) and Chris McMillian (10). CSU also had five in double figures with Jon Sivesend leading the way (17). Nsonwu-Amadi also pulled down 12 rebounds and McMillian had 10 assists for UW.
